What we collect, and what we do with it.
This site asks for your details in three places and nowhere else. Here is what each one collects, why, where it goes and how long it stays.
01
Who we are
Northvian Global Inc., a Canadian AI engineering and advisory firm, runs northvian.ca. In this policy, we, us and our mean Northvian Global Inc. For anything about your details, write to the address on our contact page.
02
What we collect, and why
Reading the site collects nothing about you from us. Three forms ask for details, and each one is optional.
-
The AI check report form
Under the result of the AI Opportunity & Readiness Check: your name, work email, company and, if you give it, your role, together with your fourteen answers and the result they produced. We use them to email you the detailed report and, at most once, to follow up about it.
-
The AI Ground Rules kit form
Your name, work email, company, company size, where your business is based and, if you give it, one line about what you use AI for today. We use them to send you the edition of the kit that fits where you are, and to follow up once about it.
-
The contact form
Your name, work email, company and message, plus your role, stage and timeline if you give them. We use them to answer you.
With every submission we also keep the time it arrived, the name of your browser, and a salted hash of your IP address. The hash lets us limit repeat submissions from one connection. It cannot be turned back into the address, and we never store the address itself.
We note whether your email address is on a consumer provider such as Gmail so we can sort submissions later. It does not change what happens to yours.
03
The AI check stores nothing unless you ask
The AI Opportunity & Readiness Check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are scored on your device and written into the page address so you can bookmark or share the result. Nothing is sent to us unless you fill in the report form under the result.
The production readiness checklist works the same way. Your ticks are kept in your browser and never leave it.
04
Where it is stored
Submissions go into a Cloudflare D1 database that we control, hosted by Cloudflare in North America. Cloudflare also hosts the site itself. Like any host, it handles every request to the site and keeps short-lived operational logs of its own.
When email sending is switched on, your report or your kit link is delivered through Resend, an email delivery service. Resend processes your address and the message in order to deliver it. We receive a copy of each submission by email as well.
05
How long we keep it
Submissions are kept for up to 24 months from the day you sent them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. The counter that holds the hashed address resets within an hour.
06
What we do not do
We do not sell your details or share them with advertisers. We do not add you to a newsletter; there is not one. We run no analytics or advertising scripts and set no cookies of our own. Fonts are served from this site, so no third party sees your visit through them.
We email you about what you submitted, and at most once more to follow up. That is the whole list.
07
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address on our contact page from the email address you used on the form, and we answer within 30 days.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our answer, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
08
Changes
If we change how the site handles your details, we update this page and the date at the top.
